Byron currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Consulting within the ITG Division of ICF where he oversees practice strategy all ITG’s technology delivery practices and leads the HHS Portfolio for the division following ICF’s acquisition of ITG in 2020. At ITG he supported corporate strategy, delivery assurance, customer success, and technology practice efforts, and additionally led capture for over $250M of awarded contract backlog since joining in early 2019. Prior to his time at ITG, Byron founded and grew Regent Solutions, LLC, a strategy and technology consulting startup that focused on digital transformation strategy for federal and commercial customers. At Regent, he built and oversaw the technology services practices that delivered over 300 enterprise transformation projects in its first four years of operation to customers in industries from digital media (iHeartMedia), to consumer luxury sales (Pandora Jewelry, Leesa Sleep) to financial services (Motley Fool) and others. While building the commercial consulting arm of Regent, he also personally supported clients at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) where he served as the Senior Advisor to the CIO for strategy and technology responsible for guiding the modernization of the FCC’s 200+ legacy system, to serving as the Principal Cloud Architect for the CIO of the Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Previously, he supported the National Security Council Staff on identity management, cybersecurity, and information sharing issues. Prior to that, he had a variety of roles in the consulting world for clients across the commercial, civil government, defense, and intelligence areas, all focused on delivering modern solutions to meet ever changing mission needs. He holds both Master of Science (M.S.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. Additionally, he is a 2018 FCW Federal 100 Award winner for his work on digital transformation and citizen facing services with various customers across the federal market and has spoken at numerous conferences on topics ranging from digital transformation, cloud adoption, identity management, and emerging technology.
