The Department of Defense (DoD) has hundreds of operating locations throughout the world, each with unique hardware configurations, data strategies, and application architectures. Due to these inconsistencies, the management and availability of data, hardware, and applications has become less effective for the user as well as inefficient and expensive. To overcome these challenges, the DoD is turning to Enterprise IT-as-a-Service (EITaaS). The objective of EITaaS is to consolidate multiple service desks with varied tool sets to create a single entity with complete oversight of services, thus increasing workforce productivity and security, as well as improving the end-user experience. EITaaS will enable the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force to meet the needs of the 21st century warfighter to improve IT user experience and increase mission effectiveness. Join this session to hear how Unisys is helping the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force deploy a cloud-based ITSM solution and end-user device management solution to develop a self-service portal and call management solution.
